Breakthrough Fasting & Prayer

January 18, 2009 (Day Fifteen)

You are walking in an inseparable love that God brought to you before you knew Him! 1 John 4:10 reveals this to us, “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” God’s love for you is initially seen in the fact of Creation. God’s love for you is affirmed in Noah’s Ark that allowed man to be saved through grace when judgment demanded total annihilation. David understood this when he penned Psalm 17:8, “Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings…” God’s love for you is established forever in the offering of His son Jesus Christ on the Cross. My favorite scripture regarding this is found in Colossians 2:14, “…having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”

This Breakthrough Fasting & Prayer is a commitment to walk deeper into the Love of God. The deeper we go into His love we become more aware that we live under the divine protection of God. Romans 8:33 asks this question, “Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.” Everything that could be held against us has been blotted out on the Cross. The love of God continues even now as an ongoing intercessor. Read Romans 8:34 aloud right now, “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Even as you are reading this, Jesus is praying to the Father on your behalf! God’s love saved you and now continues to protect you!

Romans 8:35 probes even deeper, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” No matter what you are going through it will not be strong enough to drive a wedge between you and God’s love. You are forever sealed with the love of God! This fast is illuminating the Love of God to you as never before. You belong to God! You must settle this revelation in your heart today. You must become fully persuaded of God’s unfailing love for you, now and forever! Romans 8:37-39 sums this thought up, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
